Just as I was talking about how good Menorca's roads are, I find this. The road is quite windy between Ciutadella and Ferreries, but as I said, barriers are everywhere and speed limits are sensible.
Three killed in holiday car crash
A mother and her two children were killed in a car crash on the Spanish island of Menorca on Tuesday. Sally Austin, 49, her son Samuel, 13, and daughter Claire, 11, of Billericay, Essex, died when their car hit another vehicle also carrying a British family.
Mrs Austin's husband, Nicholas, 51, who was driving, suffered serious injuries.
The occupants of the other car, Paul Blackwell, 43, of Bracknell, Berkshire, his wife Rebecca, 43, and their two children suffered minor injuries.
A Foreign Office spokesman said the crash happened on Tuesday evening on the main road between the towns of Ciudadela and Ferreries.
A Guardia Civil spokeswoman said a third car was involved in the accident and crashed into the vehicle in which the family members died.
