I'm curious to know if any other Spain-based foreros are watching this programme (La 2 11.30pm every Wednesday). I've only just started watching it, and although I am not sure what to make of it yet, it seems to me already that it stands way apart from everything else on Spanish television.

The show is a combination of animation and live-action sketches, the humour often absurd or even surreal. There's always one regular item featuring various 'celebrities': although these seem to me to be not quite impersonations and the choice of celebrities are somewhat offbeat - the last few weeks have starred Manu Chao, 'Robert Smith of the Cure' and Barry Gibb! Possibly the most widely-accessible regular item is a cartoon series featuring Enjuto Mojamuto, an internet nerd who is obsessed with trivia and geek stuff. This clip tells the story of the worst day of his life, when the internet goes down for no reason (fortunately here with English subtitles).

Definitely worth a look I think, and I'd be interested to know what others think. I have to admit much of it I don't understand:confused:, partly because I don't get all the references - I suspect watching this must be a little bit like someone who isn't British trying to understand Little Britain or League of Gentleman.

For anyone outside Spain who's intrigued, try the website (http://muchachadanui.rtve.es/) and if the episodes there aren't available, there's tons of stuff on Youtube.

Welcome to the forum, and good to hear someone else is watching it. I thought I was on my own here!

The Spanish friend who recommended me to the programme told me not to worry about the bits I didn't understand, because he didn't understand a lot of it too.

My favourite sketch so far is this one from Mundo Viejuno, a series where they dub new lines over old films. I think what makes this one more accessible because of its subject - everyone is being implored to convert to digital television everywhere:

But there is still a lot I don't understand in this sketch (not helped because they seem to be inventing a couple of new words of their own - like understanding another language is not difficult enough already!).
