If you are interested in architecture and come to Madrid, I would like to recomend you the "Arquería de Nuevos Ministerios (http://www.arqtipo.com/maps/conex/index3.php?id=14)". It's an exhibition hall not very well-known, but very interesting, and it's for free ;D. I love this place (I study architecture  ).

Also take a look at this web site to see more interesting architectonics locations:

(this is not my web site :p )

Cool, I'll have to check it out! I"m an architecture student myself.

A very good way to see some of those locations, if you come in summer, is "Los Veranos de la Villa (http://www.esmadrid.com/es/portal.do?IDR=622&TR=C&IDM=25&NM=1)". The only "problem" is you have to keep an eye (¿se dice así?) on the dates and the spectacles you want to see.
