Every time I travel, it has usually been through Expedia.com because every time they have offered me the cheapest fares by far.

But it seems this time, I can almost NEVER get their website to come up. It comes up literally 90% of the times I try to get on as their server not responding or the browser couldn't find the website or whatever...I'm no computer expert.

Do other people have the same problem? Other web pages load fine for me but neither Expedia.com nor expedia.co.uk work. I really need to check my itinerary and possibly change a few details, but cannot because their website is seemingly always down.

Any advice?

.com took about 30 secs. Then I tried .co.uk and that was a bit quicker. I didn't log in as I don't have an account though. Their pages do have a lot of links on them!

hmmmm. odd. Mine still comes up with the "server cannot be found" message in firefox. :( ???

I tried in IE too and it says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."

Is there a reason why only my computer wouldn't be displaying them? I'll try to borrow a friend's computer tomorrow and see if it works on theirs.

Just tried again and they both came up almost instantly - so I guess the graphics are in my cache now. Maybe your firewall or virus checker is blocking them? I'm using Firefox 3 so it's not likely that is the problem.

Hi "Alley-Dog" :D
I just tried the site using IE6.....no problem at all. Since (according to your blog) you got in successfully the other day and made your reservations - I wonder whether some cookie or something has been put on your computer thats weirdly preventing access - try deleting cookies and clearing your cache and maybe even doing a System Restore to day before you made reservations (if you're using Windows). I shouldnt be giving ANY kind of tecchie advice - as I'm hopeless.
Try this link....It's one I accessed for contacting Expedia directly - after their main page opened:

http://www.expedia.com/daily/service/default.asp?rfrr=-940

and if that doesn't get you in there...here's a toll-free number that appears on that link:
1-800-397-3343
and:
1-404-728-8787
They say it's good 24/7
They also say Customer Support will reply to e-mails within 4 hrs.
Suerte.....

Thanks Margot. Unfortunately I'm completely in the dark when it comes to computer matters so I have no idea how to System restore or cookie whatchamacallit. However, it seems very hit-and-miss. I just tried getting on, and expedia came up immediately! This has happened before, but every time it goes back to not-working.

Oh well, I'll just make my changes quickly before the website slips through my fingers again!
