Depends what 'lifestyle' you're looking for and how hard you're prepared to look for it.
Both regions are littered with foreigners and both offer much the same services, they're easy to find!
The Alicante Province is more accesible if you want to move about inland at all, but if you only want sun, sea, sand, sangria and the other S, flip a coin.
More details required.

Join the queue for bar jobs, you'll be lucky if you get to the front of it for an interview before the vacancy sign comes down, that's if you even get to see a vacant bar job going.

If you have no Spanish, probably your only chance of a job is where there is a high concentration of Brits. So think Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Benalmádena etc. Also parts of Costa Blanca. But I would think you can forget Valencia or Málaga. :(

Málaga Airport. All pretty close to the airport, just head down the coast.

Malaga city is better for bars and nightlife, beaches aren`t great but no impossible to relax on.
I haven`t lived in Alicante, only stayed a few days, my impression though Malaga would be the better City of the two.
I wouldn`t live in either though.
Andalucian women very impressive.
