Top Five - best mistakes made by my Spanish students

As a teacher, there can be only one top 5 for me to mention - the best (hee hee) mistakes my English learners of Spanish have made over the course of the last 10 years, inadvertently of course and totally unaware of the interpretation issues. Enjoy! I have left the mistakes uncorrected - have a go at correcting them yourself.

1) En el parque nacional esta prohibido molestar a los pajeros

2) Si veo una arana, siempre tengo mierda

3) En mi dormitorio hay una comoda con cuatro cojones

4) Voy al supermercado, no se a que hora voy a ser espalda

5) Los viernes, si bebo mucho alcohol, siempre me cago en la calle

There are obviously a lot more I could have posted but these are the ones I remember most!!

Exactly! - Whereas 'pajaro' means bird, obviously the intended object not to be disturbed in the National Parks of Spain.

In Costa Rica in the 70s, a young woman student--an american with beautiful auburn hair, while fussing with same--turned to one of my Costa Rican male friends and said:

"Préstame tu pene."

At which point he stood up, replied "Sí, ¿cómo no?", and unzipped his pants.

Excellent. ive made the exact same mistakes in my spanish lessons before. I always seemed to be one of the few that got the words mixed up with swear words! If a word can some how be made to sound like a swear word, id always end up saying it. At the beggining i always had to think hard when using miedo or media, so as not to say mierda! :D
