This post relates to the Don Justo cathedral podcast (http://www.notesfromspain.com/303/), about a man who has spent the last 40 years single-handedly building a cathedral outside Madrid.

(N.B. This podcast is about 22 minutes long, in the first few hours it was available a clipped 14 min version was downloading due to a server error. The full version is now up again.)

I once heard a story about a postman in France who had built something equally impressive but have no idea where, when or what it was.

Does anyone else know of anything else as extraordinary as this?

Sorry no, I knew a man that could 'fart' swing low sweet charriot (oh university days :p) , but building a catedral single handed, for forty years, that takes a special kind of man ;)
