I've set up a little photoblog for myself that I hope to update daily, any feedback on design, use, browser problems would be most useful before I show it to anyone else!

Another Ubuntu convert, eh? Been playing with it this week, and I very much like it.

Yeah, I've been using it for about a year. I used to use Fedora, but Ubuntu is much more user friendly. Still not enough, I might add, but the features are improving soo quickly it's unbelievable. I can hook up my mp3 player and phone to it now. And use Skype with a bluetooth headset. And write CDs and DVDs, and watch them. Also, Google's Earth and Picasa2 are available for Ubuntu. Finally, they've added a "commercial" repository to make it easier to install some of the commercial binaries - just what a newcomer to Linux needs. I've even managed, with wine, to make Football Manager and Age of Mythology work under Ubuntu.

You should experience the frustration I have when I go to a client who needs updated software on their 10-year-old NT4 Server. It's maddening to try to do ANYTHING on IE 3.0, you know?

no problems MacOs x Tiger with Firefox or Safari, incidentally - my son has the new sony ericsson and it has the great facility to send great quality images and text to a blog - I am hoping to get same for Sept When I go to spain again so we'll see the results then hopefully

it came yesterday and the blog thing works well - so now Im looking forward to a field trip - Ripon next weekend Costa del Sol in September...
