Hello, my name is Anna and I will be dropping by to see if anyone needs help to learn Spanish.
Im a tertiary teacher (adults) specialising in how students learn and also teaching the English language. As I am passionate about this and want to help as many people who need it) thats how I found this forum), I now currently write free articles for many websites including "Speedo Spanish" and will post some here for you too :-)
So tell me how you best learn a language or ask for some tips how to learn, telling me the difficulties you may have and I will be happy to help here when I can :-)
Much suerte :smug:

I see that you recommend Rocket Spanish as the best Spanish learning software. I've heard that the plethora of rave reviews for this product to be found on a multitude of sites has more to do with its resale commission (75% !) than its quality as a product.
Some time ago, I came across this page (http://www.rocketlanguages.com/spanish/culture_differences.php). I really don't know why they should feel the need to perpetuate the gilipollez of the 'urban legend' of the so-called 'lisp'.
And here's what someone else (http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/tips/spanish.htm) says about the product:
So far my review on Rocket Spanish is based on their website since they do not have a free demo of their first lesson to listen to. Their website looks like a scam website. They only have a 3 minute sample of a free Rocket Spanish Audio course, but the audio quality is poor. The creator of Rocket Spanish is from Chile but he seems to live in New Zealand and both he and his editor seem to have a New Zealand accent...
In my opinion, the reason why you see so many review sites for Rocket Spanish is because of their affiliate program. Affiliates get a commission of 75%. That means they make about $70 when someone purchases the download version!

I downloaded the Rocket Spanish a couple of years ago. And it was 'ok' the audio examples were fair enough, although I don't have any objections to an american voice, I did feel it was a little more tailored for the American cliental. You get reams of PDF's which you can print out, and they seem pretty comprehensive, if not all little overwhelming. I got a little way into it and kinda lost enthusiasm, probably my fault... Can anyone recommend anything better?

If you click on the "User CP" link on the navigation bar at the top and then click on "Edit signature" at the top of the links on the left-hand side, you can then upload a picture to use in your signature.

Hi, Anna.
Nice to have you here! You must have a lot of experience with Spanish. By the way, have you had a chance to visit the branch of the Instituto Cervantes that opened in Ireland a few years ago. I wish there was one near me.
