Nice podcast! I didn't know Spanish weddings were such expensive affairs.
By the way, what does the word escacearse/escasearse mean? To make yourself scarce? I couldn't find it in any dictionary.

Ahhh, that's where the worksheets come in handy ;)
It means to avoid or get out of doing something.

Yep, this was a good podcast. I agree that giving money as a gift is a bit off! hehe :)
From a vocab and grammar point of view, I found this particular podcast was a level or two higher in difficulty than normal. Maybe I was just having an off-day, but I struggled to follow much of the discussion. Was this a deliberate move, or do you think it was just my perception?
I've only listened once, so I'm going to re-listen tonight and see if I can absorb a little more second time around.

We certainly didn't try to make it more difficult.... Maybe it will be easier on a second listening. We're going to add intermediate podcasts in September, which means we'll have to do the opposite and try to make things easier!
