Now that you can find ripe and tasty "piel de sapo" melons all over Spain I've preapared this delicious juice just before lunch time.
For two people, cut four slices of a piel de sapo melon (or double if you use a small galia melon), peel off the skin and chop it roughly into pieces. Put it in the food processor and blend it for 2 minutes. Drink straight away to keep all the vitamins.
Tip 1: If the melon comes from the fridge the juice will be cold and refreshing.
Tip 2: Fruit takes only about 20 minutes to be digested, so for cleaning purposes it is very recommended to have fruit and juicies on an empty stomach rather than at the end of the meal.

I wish we had some 'melon weather' to go with this delicious refreshment! :D
All we get is chubascos, chubascos and chubascos!

Looks like cantaloupe. I feel I need some educating. I know three types of melon. Watermelon, Honeydew and Cantaloupe. Watermelon you can keep, but the other two........mmmmmmm! Skin of Toad?????????? I hope it tastes better than it's name would suggest.

Another well-known melon is called Galia:

Honeydew melons
More info than you ever needed on ministry of agriculture site (http://infoagro.com/) from whence came the pics.
They're all great but I particularly like the sweet ones with jamón de serrrano and salad.
