Lavapiés: la ONU a pequeña escala
Fernando Colomo regresa a la dirección cuatro años después de su última película, con una comedia urbana sobre el fenómeno de la inmigración ambientada en el barrio más multicultural de Madrid

One to look out for in the DVD shop. Maybe see Ben in the background.

From LasProvincias Sunday supplement, article (http://lasprovincias.xlsemanal.com/web/articulo.php?id=8957&id_edicion=1287) on the ethnic diversity of el barrio Lavapiés.
En pocos años han abierto tiendas, locutorios y restaurantes. Son el nuevo rostro de Lavapiés, el barrio más cosmopolita de Madrid, donde viven más de 3.000 bengalíes.

Sounds like there could be some good curry available round your way Ben.

This guy (http://lasprovincias.xlsemanal.com/web/articulo_complementarios.php?id_edicion=1287&id_articulo=8957&id=6992&p=magazine) runs a restaurant. He is less than impressed with Spanish bureaucracy.
"Soy propietario del restaurante más elegante de Lavapiés."

In fact our old street (c/ Lavapies) is the one with most of the Indian restaurants in Lavapies. Usually they are quite simple, but last time we were there recording the NFS fiestas podcast (http://www.notesfromspain.com/519/) we saw that there was a new indian restaurant that looked much posher than the others. I guess that it was probably the one from this guy!

...Ben, when did you say you were taking me out???;)

I liked "A Man Facing Southeast" also.
It hasn't been released on DVD yet in the US but should be soon, I did have a copy of it back when people played movies on VHS.
Netflix sometimes has some spanish films but you can't find them by browsing the listing, you have to put in the movie title and do a search on it. Another site that is good for renting foreign films, and works similar to Netflix, is http://www.greencine.com. Quitet a few good films from Spain and Argentina. Another rental company to check out is https://nicheflix.com, they seem to have a pretty good selection although some of their DVDs are in PAL format instead of the NTSC used in the US.
