Does anyone have recommendations for a Spanish school in Galicia or Barcelona? How about in Central America? Because of work, I can't take a month off to study but I am interested in trying 1 to 2 week intense courses to further my language skills. I've seen tons and tons of different schools online but would prefer recommendations.
Gracias.

I can only speak from personal experience, but I have studied at Academia Isla (http://www.academiaisla.com). They have schools in Barcelona and Salamanca. I've been to both. The teachers are excellent, and they can accomodate you for periods from one week to several months.
good luck

Check out Don Quijote (http://www.donquijote.org/) as well, an uncle and a cousin of mine had good experiences with them in Salamanca and Madrid, though I'm sure they have branchs all over Spain.

Hi! I took a 2 week long Spanish course at Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Loved it! Very organized, reputable, great people! Good luck and have fun!

Thanks all for the input. I thought at first I could possibly attend one of these schools in June but my sister insists I take her to Costa Rica for a week instead. Hopefully later in the year I can select one of these schools and get some immersion time in (preferably) Spain or Central America.
