¿Cómo se dice...
"Hi, just want to remind you to bring the CD tomorrow"?

¿Se dice, "Hola, quiero recodarte a traer el CD mañana?
(ella nos dijo "tutéame")

Pero, no estoy seguro.
Y si hay un mejor manera de decirlo, ¡cuentáme por favor!

For me it would be the most natural way to say it , but I guess there are many different ways to skin a cat .

Yes, the infinitive is "acordarse" however in that phrase you must use the present subjuntive form "se acuerde (usted) "or "te acuerdes (tu)" as it follows the clause " para que (so that/ so as to/in order to)".

The reason that I changed the verb from "recordar" to "acordarse" is that there is a slight difference between the two(which is kind of hard to explain) and if you build the sentence this way then "acordarse" is the correct verb to use....


.....para que (tu) te acuerdes de traer el CD....
.....para que (usted) se acuerde de traer el CD...

However , you could also build the sentence like this using recordar ......

....para que (tu) recuerdes que tienes que traer el CD....
....para que recuerde traer el CD...

I would say that the examples using "acordarse" would be the more common way to say it (at least in my experience )and obviously you could say it in the manner that Pippa described too.

Here is a quick and easy way(relatively speaking) that you could Improve your Spanish by employing the present subjuntive....

Learn the clauses that it follows .....

Eg. para que , espero que , me alegro de que , antes de que etc....

You can learn more about the subjuntive on this site http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/subj1.htm . However I would suggest that you just read the grammatical reasons to get a general idea of why it is used rather than trying to memorise them all, as you will find that you will naturally learn how to use it as you learn/encounter more Spanish. (and to be honest most of the time the reasons for using the Subjuntive can be a little bit vague/open to interpretation to say the least)

si, supongo que yo lo traduje muy literalmente, I want to remind you por "quiero recordarte", pero la frase entera se traduce como delgado dice

What's wrong with just keeping it simple and saying "¿Por favor, me traes mi CD mañana? Gracias."

The other construction with "I want to remind you..." sounds a little bit like you're annoyed with the person, in the context that you're talking about.

Thanks for a much simpler structure!
I was just using that structure because the person asked me to remind her (because apparently she tends to forget hehe).

But yes, that is probably a much more natural way to say it (especially for a beginner like me) so thanks heaps!
