Just spent a very relaxing week in Palma de Mallorca - see the photo set on Flickr Notes From Spain group. Beautiful city, walked the Paseo Maritimo from end to end every day and night, superb example of Spanish Local Government's understanding of how urban space can be shared by all users be they walkers, cyclists, skaters or cars. None of this "cycle along here and you'll be arrested" stuff that we get in the UK for lots of lovely areas of towns and cities. Very impressed with a much maligned part of Spain. Well done Palma, 10/10. Also, very noticeable the Latin American immigrant population staffing much of the tourist industry. No doubt the same in many other parts of Spain. Really lovely accents and a joy to talk with!!

Great pics! Were the windmills in Palma too? Here's a direct link to save a few clicks: http://www.flickr.com/photos/56603444@N00/sets/72157594264892359/

Thanks for the link - I must investigate how to do that!!
Yes, the windmills were in Palma itself - I noticed the huge number of windmills (working and abandoned) as I flew in over Mallorca central and Palma itself. There are a number high up on the Murada Dalt (old city wall) - one was a Telepizza outlet!!

Great pictures, Barca! I really love the door handles, they are something special. I'm sure Palma de Mallorca has still got some nice, picturesque spots left.

Very nicely done! I love your attention to detail with the extreme closeups.
