I had an aunt in Spain who made natillas when we visted her. Instead of putting in regular Galletas Maria on top, she would use these special galletas de Maria which were richer and had more of a reddish-brownish appearance. My father told me they only sold those at el mercado central in Valencia. Anybody know what I'm referring to?

OH Yeah !!!
Natilla is one of my favorite desserts, just the way mom makes it.
By the way, yesterday I had "natilla de rompope" for dessert. :p
FYI: There's also natilla de chocolate and natilla de vainilla.

Thank you for the new recipe, Marina and Ben! Can't wait to try it out.

Indeed, we use pints/quarts/cups/tablespoons in the States.
