Here in Spain they seem to use the term for all sorts of sweet bars but the "real" one is made from almonds like Marbellas picture. Some are more like marzipan with fruit flavours, chocolate coatings etc.

I bought some off a market stall in a little village near Salamanca just a month ago. I thought it would be like the French Nougat, but it was harder and not as sweet.

I would call it "torta de turrón".
