In February went on a short study abroad trip with school(10 days)

The first two days, we went to Toledo a beautiful city, with a lot of history. Though it was way too touristy for my tastes. One cool thing that I did, was a group of us went to mass in the Cathedral in Toledo, we went to the music service(12 I think) We stayed in the Eurostar Hotel, it was really nice, and the food was delicious. I also bought a sword in Toledo, actually wasn;t that expensive, 40 euros

Then we went to Salamanca, where we did house stays in pairs of two. Our house was about 2 mins from the Plaza Mayor, which is the focal point in Salamanca. Every morning we went to class at the Universidad Pontificia, and the afternoons were free to explore the city. One night we went to the movies and saw Malas Temporadas(what a weird film) one night went to a discoteca. We had to complete a scavengar hunt of Salamanca, which was neat because we were forced to ask the locals for help and to take pictures, they were really friendly to a bunch of Americans.

Hmm..Feel free to ask any questions

Thanks for sharing the photos and the experience. Did you improve your Spanish much while you were there?

Yes and no

Much of my group choose to speak in english for much of the trip, when the professors wern't around. I spoke in spanish as much as possible. I learned more grammar(wooHoo!) from the classes, and heard the subjunctive used correctly and in normal conversation so that was a plus.

I know I want to do study-abroad for a longer period of time, because really 10 days isn't enough to get that immersed
