driving from Madrid to Barcelona

My husband and I will be staying in Spain in late May. We plan to drive from Madrid to Barcelona. Any advice? Good stopping points?

There is one lovely place between Madrid and Zaragoza called "Monasterio de Piedra (http://www.monasteriopiedra.com/)" which a part of a medival monastery has an amazing natural park, where the water has carved amazing shapes into the rock. Wonderful for a spring stroll. There are different routes from more or less 45 min to up 2 1/2 hours.
