Hey there! I just found this site while searching for advice on moving to Spain - because that's what I plan to do. My name is Amy and I already lived in Madrid for 2 years, teaching English after finishing college. That's where I met Nacho, a madrileno who I dragged back to the States with me. We're about to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, are both missing Madrid and the Spanish life, and are planning to move back in very early 2007 (just have to sell the condo first). So, since this time around I'll be legal, things will be a bit different - I'm both nervous and excited! Just wanted to introduce myself. I think this forum offers a ton of great information and I'd rather explore it than get back to work!!

Hi! Welcome! Moving back to Spain sounds like a fantastic idea to me, do you think you'll be teaching English again this time around?

I hope not for long. I expect to teach for a few months while we process all of the paperwork for my work permit and NIE but then I'd like to find an engineering (caminos) job. My husband is an engineer as well and we've both been successful here in Florida, but something has always been missing. We finally figured out what - the inexplicable energy of Spain and the Spanish lifestyle. So, life's too short to not be totally content - it's back to Madrid for us, to try our hand at life there.
