I am taking my laptop to my flat on the Costa del Sol this summer. I use the local biblioteca for a Wi Fi connection but I would love to be able to get a Wi Fi connection in the flat. I dont have a land line. How do I get connected temporarily?

I'm sure other members here will be able to recommend local services you can access (you may need to pay for this). If you are with BT in the UK (and have their BT total broadband package) you can join their Openfon network and access wi-fi free in most countries:

If you're not part of this setup, you can purchase openzone vouchers (again see link).

If your mobile phone is data capable you can use that with a Spanish PAYG SIM card (Google: YOIGO or MASMOVIL) for EMail etc. You'll need a Bluetooth or cable connection to the PC.
Most data services require a 12 or 18 month committment.
If you are lucky one of your neighbours might have WiFi and you can reach an agreement with them.

Or hopefully you can find an unsecured network and just piggyback on that >:D

Just make sure your virus/malware scanner is up to date and set up to scan your intranet connection as well as your internet...
