We would like to visit Granada during the Easter school holidays-early April. We live near Alicante so would be driving. Has anyone any recommendations on where to stay? Nothing too expensive. We hear that parking is impossible in the centre, does anyone know where we could leave the car, (secure parking) so that we could take a taxi in?
Any tips or ideas on Granada much appreciated. We would hope to be able to spend a day up in the Sierra Nevada mountains as we think there should still be enough snow for a days fun.
thanks :thumbs-up:

Here's a lovely walk in Granada (http://www.notesfromspain.com/570/). As for hotels, check out deals with chains like Melia - we got a pretty good internet deal with the Melia Granada (http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Description.jsp?codigoHotel=1802) while there a couple of weeks back, plus they sorted out all our parking problems, though prices may be sky-high there at Easter...

Thanks, I've looked into that recommendations and the price is way to high for us Im afraid. However it has led me onto a few hotels that are a little more reasonable, (still approx 6 to €700 for a weeks stay though :o). We need a double with extra bed for our daughter, so not so easy to find.
We would want one with secure parking I think as most of the time we would travel around Granada on bus, foot or taxi.
I have looked into renting an apartment too, but the price seems similar and there is no parking in most cases.
Will keep looking and we will definately do one of the guided walks whilst there.
If anyone from Granada is interested in doing a house swop with us during that time, let me know :) http://lamarinaforum.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
