2006 New Year/Reyes Holiday in Spain

We had the chance to visit the area around Valencia for 2 weeks during the last days of 2005, through Reyes. We really try to visit the small villages in the Spanish countryside, trying out the local food.

The mountains behind the Valencian coast are beautiful. In fact one of my top travel tips for Spain would have to be: if you find yourself on a crowded Med. coast in Spain, just drive half an hour in-land. It never takes long to find a bit of real old-fashioned Spain again.

I was at a matanza in a village in Murcia on the Dia de Reyes. I hope the photo attaches ok.
