Fences

After watching this (http://cnettv.cnet.com/), I just had to try it out. Why haven't they thought of this before? It's really simple to use and lets you sort out your cluttered desk-top. In fact you can make all your icons just disappear - until you want them back. Brilliant idea.
NOTE!!!!! That link takes you to the wrong place. Don't know why. However, type "fences" in the search window and that takes you to the right video.

I use it on my XP netbook but they had not upgraded it to work with Win7 last time I tried. Great if like me you use the desktop as a launch bar ;D
That CNET video site is beyond belief. About 4 adverts to watch a video that is little more than an advert. No thanks!

That's a tool that has existed on KDE (Linux) for a while now.

Most things in KDE (and Linux in general) end up in Windows and MS always seem to want to pretend that they thought of it first. Then a couple of years later, Apple make a fanfare about the same feature in OSX, as if no one else had even dreamed of it. Mind you, KDE borrowed a lot from Windows before improving on it massively so I guess we all win in the end one way or another.
