I think it's a shame they don't teach a bit more...

I think it's a shame they don't teach a bit more grammar. I think it's a scandal that grammar isn't taught as a subject in schools. It certainly isn't over here, anyway.

Don't be discouraged by the tapes in language courses. The only decent ones I ever found were the Ealing course in German. Sadly, the Spanish Ealing course is now unavailable, more's the pity. ...

Emphasis is vital. It doesn't matter how well you know a language, if you get the emphasis wrong, it scrambles all meaning.

Try changing the emphasis on the word calendar in English from cAlendar...
