Spanish conversation on Skype

Would you like to join us for a regular Skype meet-up group. Liz, Skypename lollykins hosts the group but the structure is flexible. We advertise ourselves as beginner plus group meaning we are looking for others that can manage a conversation albeit faltering and somewhat in spanglish.

we are trying to meet up every Sunday, 5.pm EST, 10 pm GMT and 11 pm in Spain for about an hour.

If this idea attracts you there are 3 things to do:

Download and register with Skype - it is best if you use a headset with built in microphone.

Find your way to the meetup page at

http://spanishconversation.wikispaces.com/

and register and add your name to the list fo the relevant meeting

add me and/or Liz to your skype contacts list mentioning spanish conversations. My skype name is alanmalarkey

Others of you at more advanced levels are welcome to join - maybe even a guest appearance from Ben or Marina?? but it is what it says on the tin a beginner plus or aspiring an intermediate group.

I would have loved to Alan, but 11pm is just too late for me as I have early starts to get my daughter ready for school. If I am up some late Sun. nights I will drop in just for a short time, if that is alright.

Actually I am doing the Skype for the intermediate group both Saturday mornings.

I look forward to it, but I think begining class might be one too many for me.

We had 5/6 in tonight's group - it seemed to go pretty well

I caught the tail end of it, someone gave me a call. Yes, it was ok, and numbers wise, I think it was fine. I think when you get 20-30, it's too many, it can get quite chaotic, and people get little chance to speak. Give me a shout next week if I forget, I'll probably be online.

Hey there Alan--got your PM, yep that was me! I would love to join in but also have the time of day as an issue....my 2.5yo gets up ridiculously early so I really need to be in bed by 9! :-) Maybe someday!
