Default Ipod apps for Spanish

I've just got an ipod touch with wi-fi and I'm wondering about the Spanish learning apps for it. I've never used flashcards for my vocab but I thought getting a gizmo like this could be the time to start. Is there a favourite app anyone has for this? I'd like to be able to add in my own words too as that could be especially useful for getting over certain block words that for some reason never go in my head.

Recommend the Ultralingua English Spanish dictionary - It also has a verb conjugator in all the tenses and moods and will convert numbers to words...

I've recently got an app called Stanza. You can download books from the Project Gutenberg. Spanish is dwarfed by English but there are several hundred Spanish books to read.

I've got a little way into Trafalgar by Benito Pérez Galdós. It seems readable. Not too difficult. Apparently he's thought of by some as the Spanish Dickens.

There's an app now from RTVE with which you can watch their 24 hour news channel 24h. It's called RTVE noticias y directos.

Spanishdict already mentioned in this thread has a good vocabulary tester/game. You can set the level according to your level of learning. You can also set things so that wrong answers are saved automatically to Favourites. The dictionary looks excellent too especially as it's free.

Real Academia Española has just released a dictionary in an iPod/iPhone app. It's free.

I see the RAE dictionary requires a connection to the net. A bit of a drawback.

One of our listeners has just made this, Brown's Spanish Verb Dictionary - I haven't had a chance to test it fully yet, but definitely worth a look.

The ultra lingua Spanish dictionary app for the iPad iis phenomenal - also works on the iPhone
If you want Th look up a verb type in to be, for instance, click on the word ser when it appears in the dictionary and a panel opens up with the verb conducted in the present indicative - tap the panel and this allows you to select any other tense you wish from a dropdowm menu - magic!!
