Default Help please - llevar

I'm trying to say this sentence but I don't know how to construct it properly...

I want to say:

"I hope to arrive in Ecuador next year to learn more spanish"

so I tried this sentence, but I'm not sure if it is correct:

"espero que llegue en Ecuador proximo año para aprender mas español"

(I know I have to use llevar in the subjunctive here)

The verb you used in your sentence is LLEGAR (to arrive) not LLEVAR (to carry).

You wrote: "espero que llegue en Ecuador proximo año para aprender mas español"

Good news! You don't have to use the subjunctive in your sentence. The subjunctive isn't required here because there is no dependent or subordinate clause. There's only one subject and one independent clause in your sentence and it's all about YOU. You're not hoping that someone else does something. You're talking about yourself, so the use of the subjunctive isn't correct in your original sentence.

Espero ir a Ecuador el año que viene para aprender español.

(I hope to go to Ecuador next year to learn Spanish.)

Espero llegar mañana por la mañana.
(I expect to arrive tomorrow morning.)

Now look what happens when there's a "YOU" and an "I" in the same sentence:

Espero que vayas a Ecuador el año que viene para aprender español. (I hope you go to Ecuador next year in order to learn Spanish.)

Espero que llegues mañana por la mañana. (I hope you arrive tomorrow morning.)

Subject 1 + Verb 1 (Indicative)
Subject 1 + Verb 1
(Indicative) + QUE + Subject 2 + Verb 2 (Subjunctive)

See the difference?

Espero que te sirva.
