I think the snowline started at about 800m. It was a good covering but easy to walk in.

Telford's Warehouse Chester, UK taken last weekend in the winter sun. Alongside the Shropshire Union Canal on the outskirts of the city stands an old canal-side warehouse that these days is used as bar/venue/restaurant and is highly recommended.

A couple of weeks ago, I took a couple of pictures inside on a busy Saturday night. Note the excellent menu for fine cask ales :-)

Photos this morning of goats grazing on waste ground in an urban area in Tenerife. I spoke to the goat herder who told me he had 100 goats and 4 dogs to control them. I took these with my pocket camera.
There are many goats on Canary Islands and therefore some very good cheeses, my favourite being Majorero (Maxorata) from Fuerteventura.

Sorry I cannot match the fine ales, more is the pity.
But wines we have a plenty. Chantada wine festival last weekend. 5 in the afternoon!

I am trying to get the hang of the editing side of this - so please bear with me. Taken last week in Palma.

Yes, spring has come, although the sky is not very blue.

This was the best I could find. Local brew owned by the brewing giant Heineken.

If you are looking for fine ales then a hot desert country should not be high on the list.

I did manage (read devour) a few pints of Spitting Feathers Thirst Quencher when I went out the evening after I returned.

Fine holiday - highly recommended.

Know the feeling - We arrived home yesterday and had to go to Ilford to the dentist... don't ask ... its a long story - to find my regular thursday night buddy is grounded in Tenerife courtesy of the Icelandic dust cloud.

I don't mind them screwing up the banking system but messing with my regular Thursday mission is a step too far.

I have decided to spent an evening with my children - Michael and Jenny - luckily both are in their late 20's so were going to the pub

I loved San Diego when I was there a few years ago. I have a strong desire to return. Of the US cities that I have visited (not that many actually). SD is my favourite.
