I like them all. Not too fond of sunsets and reflections generally though.

I really don't want the Bovril either, but is it the Fields of Elise?

Photo of the weekend: Zebra Parking (another fine example of Madrid drivers' respect for pedestrians)

I showed it to my Dad and he was cracking up for almost a minute. I almost wish I had that on a T-shirt or mug.

There are times you wish the Spanish influence didn't make it to the Americas, as when this taxi picks up a fare in the middle of a busy junction.

Traffic is stopped, and each driver makes sure to block the crossings in their entireties while they wait. Rather than complain, or wait for the signal to cross, pedestrians cross anyway.

2 Favourites from a weekend wander around Madrid:

The above photo was taken outside a famous church next to the Prado (I forget the name, San Geronimo maybe, but you have to put your name on the list years in advance to get married there).

The lady in question is, according to the gossips in the crowd behind me, Rebecca Loos, the personal assistant who got a little too personal with Beckham, and kick-started a glam reality TV career as a result!

My favourite bit of this photo, apart from the graphicness of the steps, is the fist clenching the dress.

Here is an HDR shot from the Botanical Gardens (large version here):
