Default Question About Teaching Materials

My apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere in the forum, but are English-language instructors/teachers given materials to work with when conducting classes, or do they prepare their own?

Muchas gracias por su tiempo. ü

I've been told that teachers in English schools are given materials, and often told to rigidly stick to them (it provides continuity when the pupils change teacher, and it ensures teachers stick to whatever teaching method the school employs). I guess private teachers/autonomos will have their own materials.

Yup my experience bears this out, the place I go in BCN has several different packs of material at the same level so that if a student is going over the same ground again (ahhh how I love the subjunctive...) the materials are different.

I am also aware of the fact that if you want to teach and come to the working place for teaching, you are provided with the material and you are keeping the material while you work.
