Jambo, William. Welcome to the forum.
There is no easy way to learn any language. You have to study. There used to be a bookshop in Munbi Mbingu street in Nairobi a bookshop that sold language books. Go there and buy something like "Spanish for Dummies", or "Spanish made Simple" and read, study and practise until you leave to come here - and bring them with you. There are pleanty of On-Line assistance too. Just google "Learning Spanish". The resources are remarkable. Kwa heri |

BBC Primes Mi Vida Loca is my top favourite for newbies. It is an interactive videocourse on the internet and it is FREE!!!!

There's no really 'easy' way to learn but, if you're still looking for suggestions, I learnt by using:
1st - Michel Thomas (all audio) - sorts out the grammar before you start and you start to 'understand' how the language works. Incredibly easy to listen to. 2nd - Learning Spanish Like Crazy - more 'traditional' learning with 'my name is...', 'how are you?' etc. which I don't think are covered in the Michel Thomas audio. (But you'll understand exactly how and why '¿cómo te llamas?' is phrased as it is, and be able to change it into every tense and every person, rather than just memorising that that is what you say to say 'what's your name?') equal 2nd - get going with the beginners' podcasts on this site (well, www.notesinspanish.com) - the podcasts are free but you pay for the worksheets and explanations - I only bought them when I got to the 'advanced' set (after a year) and they are good - see if you can get them when there's some sort of special offer available. 3rd - read LOTS. Chat online if you can. www.livemocha.com is good for online intercambios. www.busuu.com will help you with increasing your vocabulary. Natamani nikusaidi kidogo. Utaelewa spanish haraka ukifanya hivyo. |
