working in spain

Hi there,
I am contemplating the possibility of moving to spain, early stages! I am teaching myself spanish as my parents move out to Murcia region in June and I don't want to come across as a complete ignoramous!! I wondered if anyone had any ideas about my chances of getting work, i am a qualified nurse but understand that this may be a problem if my spanish is limited! I am also a qualified beauty therapist and wonder whether it would be easier to follow the self employed route??
