haha..well I guess since we're using multiple languages now..here are some similar or actually shared words by Spanish and Arabic:
almojada: pillow in both languages pato: duck in span. bata: in arabic (very similar pronounciation though) torro: bull= same in both alcazar= castle moketa= carpet in span. moket= carpet arabic. azul=azraq (sort of similar...lol) alfombra=alfarsha= throw rug (once again..sort of) camisa=camisa=shirt alhambra=red (cuz it was built from red clay or stones or something on the outside) freza=frez azucar=sucar aseita(don't know how to spell oil)= zeit arroz= roz

I've even seen it as the name of a restaurant as well... imagine a huge billboard on the front of a building saying Rape !

OMG, that would be soooo hilarious and embarrasing if someone thought it actually meant rape..haha..but then again molesta= to bug and it sounds like molester and basta= enough...and well, I'm sure you know what it sounds like..lol

Jeje.
I made the same mistake once at evening classes. The teach laughed and got a little embarrassed. Not forgetting Mitsubishi, who brought out the Mitsubishi Pajero, in the uk i think its called Shogun. Funny as they called it Mitsubishi Pajero for the South American market.

Tremendo is the Spanish equivalent of 'tremendous' but it also means 'horrible' or 'the limit' (= el colmo): tu marido es tremendo, siempre se olvida de los cumpleaños: your husband is the limit, he always forgets birthdays.
