Primero, quisera dar las gracias a Ben y a Marina. He disfrutado mucho de los últimos podcasts. Eché de menos los podcasts intermedios y avanzados durantes los meses que no habían nuevos episodios.

Este episodio salió justo cuando me compre un nuevo iPhone, porque AT&T acaba de venir a nuestro bosque del norte de Minnesota. Antes, nunca iba a reemplazar mi teléfono actual con otro para tener más atributos electrónicos. Estoy de acuerdo con Marina, es un malgasto de recursos. Pero un iPhone era más que podía resistir. Ahora sólo tengo que llevar una cosa durante el día. Adíos a mi ipod, mi computadora para chequear el email y navegar por internet, y pronto adíos a mi PDA que uso durante mi trabajo para investigar asuntos medicos cuando atiendo a pacientes. En la primavera saldrá software para estas cosas.

Era alguien que sólo tenía un movil porque lo necesitaba para mi trabajo. Antes solía usarlo menos de unas veces a la semana, pero ahora tengo que confesar que estoy enamorada de mi nuevo teléfono. Es mejor de lo que me imaginaba.

Pero en cuanto al uso del movil en público, sí hay una etiqueta que se debe usar cuando se lleva un movil. No debes tenerlo prendido cuando estás con un amigo cenando, etc., y sobretodo cuando estás mirando una peli o una presentación.

I have to agree with DocMolly. I would have agreed 100% with you guys about the other purposes of my cell phone a month or so ago. However, I just purchased an iPhone and love it! I never had the camera phone or any other fancy features before; only the free basic phone. I didn't ever want any of that other stuff. However, I was sold after the 30 seconds it took to set it up. If you guys are in the market for a new phone, I cannot suggest strongly enough you purchase an iPhone. I even do the texting thing now that I said I would NEVER want to learn how to use. I still turn it off at night and try not to use it in public, but the features:camera, screen, ipod, calendar, voice mail organization, contacts, etc. are really cool!

I have only used the internet (youtube) a few times and that is really easy too. Keep us posted if you purchase one and if your opinion of cell phone technology changes.

Como Ben tengo un móvil fatal y ha acabado de alcanzar el final de su vida. El botón con lo cual hago todo las funciones está roto y he tenido que encontrar otra manera de poner alarmas, por ejemplo.

La cámara tiene casi 1 mega pixel yo creo y tengo unas fotos de Bilboa dentro pero salieron tan malas que no me importa verlas en mi ordenador. No vale la pena importarlas.

Como soy pobre no tengo contrato de móvil, pero solo gasto unos 10 euros al mes en llamar y enviar mensajes. Email es gratis y lo uso todos los días.

Esta mirando el video del la presentacion dado el 6 de Marzo sobre los avances del iPhone. En el, mencionaron que ePocrates esta disponible para el iPhone. Lo usas? Hay otras aplicaciones profesionales que usas en tu trabajo en el iPhone tuyo?

I have a translation question about one part of this podcast 91. Since this is the one with the free, openly available transcript I assume it is all right to quote the relevant part of it here:

Marina—Bueno, mi móvil es un poquito más moderno que el tuyo, tiene cámara, aunque casi nunca la uso, la verdad, y… pero los dos tenemos móviles bastante básicos, no son… eh… de gama alta ni…

My question is about the last phrase: who or what are "los dos"? Is this the correct meaning: 'but the two mobile phones that we have...' or is it, 'but the mobile phones that we two have...' or something else again?

It means ............

"We both/both of us have fairly basic mobiles"

If they wanted to say both the mobiles that we have are fairly basic, then it would be....

"los dos móviles que tenemos son bastante básicos" (as you can see , how you word it is really just a matter of personal style ,as both the phrases mean pretty much the same thing)

So the los dos in the transcript refers to Ben and Marina .
