Sí, se utiliza "oír de" y tiene sentido. Para ser má específico, podrías usar la construcción "oír hablar de."

He oído de ese.
He oído hablar de ese.

También, en algunas situaciones se puede usar el verbo conocer, que significa "to be familiar with. "Lo conozco," o "Sí, conozco ese." Y se traduciría "Yes, I know of that."

"Has escuchado de ...."

The tense is correct, but the pronoun is not.

In this case, you should use the neutral form and the correct translation in standard Spanish would be:

He oído hablar de ello (or in some cases "eso"; but never "ese").

In the second phrase, I would say:

Me habéis ayudado mucho. Or rather, Me habéis sido de gran ayuda.

However, I know a few Spanish speakers that would opt for the other version. (Me ayudasteis mucho)
