Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I'm new obviously and really, really want to learn spanish but am terrified to speak it to anyone. So maybe typing it would be easier. I don't know, but whatever I can learn from you guys would be great! I'm Trish, by the way.

Welcome Trish. A common problem you share with many of us! Writing has it's own set of problems - not least that your mistakes are easily visible

Hi. I learned years ago that my German got much better after a couple of beers cause i lost that fear. Also noted if I sort of slurred the feminine or masculine forms their brains weould hear it correxctly. Same seems to apply so far in Spanish. I
find going to Mexican Restaurants and trying with bilingual waiters cheers them up and they are helpful. Learn a lot there and get to listen to native speakers. Lemme know if you try this. emory |
