Alguien Podria Ayudarme con la Palabra Ya?

Hola a todos! A very simple Spanish word that has caused me great confusion is the word ya. I see it used all the time, in a variety of contexts and I was wondering if someone could offer some advice on when best to use ya. I know it's simple definition is already, however I very commonly see the phrase Ya lo se (I know) or Ya esta and I was hoping to learn the best ways to incorporate it into my vocabulary. Gracias!

It's a very commonly used adverb. Have a look here in wordreference.com for many examples, you could even delve into their forum if you have an hour to spare ;D
