Just to add to the tenis vocab reply. The French Open and all the Master Series are covered live by Teledeporte and or La Dos, pay for view snapping up the remaining three Grand Slams. Normally from the quarters or semis to the final Teledeporte hire Tomás Carbonell an ex pro, who in my humble opinion is the finest analyst of tenis that I have ever listened to and I have listened to good few.

Additional options for your vocab list include.
Service ------- saque
Service return ------resto
Slice volley ---- vollea cortada
Tie break ------- desempate
A set ----------- manga/parcial
Hawkeye ------ Halcon.
Net cord ------- cinta
Two more which are useful as they can be used in most sports are:
Remontar------ make a comeback/ come from behind in a match or a set
Tocado -------------- when a player looks drained or possibly suffering from an injury.

The commentators during a match tend to mix the Spanish vocab with the sports international terms eg: Globo/Lob. However I have noticed that they prefer “passing shot or “passing” “top spin” and “smash” to the Spanish terms for them.
Another quirk is that with Alex Corretja working with the young Scottish player they tend to use more English vocab during his matches and have regular short debates on the pronounciation of his name.
They also quite naturally underline the Spanish influence in his rise to the top of his sport.

Gracias Calcetina.
'Oh I say!' fue un dicho empleado con frequencia por Dan Maskell quien era la voz de tenis a lo largo de muchos años por la BBC.

Thanks for the extra info Berti.
Matchpoint and breakpoint are two I forgot.

Guess I'll need to find a Spanish backgammon book for those as I guess many of the terms may not be direct translations. Point may be punta but I am referring to the 24 'points' that the board is comprised of.
