Question Dating in Spain...

can I get an explanation of the dating norms/social expectancies for courting spanish women? im moving to seville in august and kind of want to know what is the norm/ some tips on how to act kinda...contrasts with american ways would be nice but anything helps

Well, it's been about 8 years since I had any experience of this (because I found my current wife around then!) but one thing you have to be careful with where many Spanish girls are concerned is getting too drunk. I know that in the UK and a US a lot of new relationships get going at the bottom of a glass, so to speak, but in Spain being really drunk can really put off a nice Spanish girl! Um, hope that helps!

haha! interesting advice I will be keepin it in mind - a good warning. i just hope i find the right places where girls are? when i was in Sevilla during Januar for the month, I never saw girls out past dinner time. we went to a large variety of bars but never encountered groups of chicas. where does one usually meet girls?

I was contacted about ten day ago by a guy who was in Madrid for is company. He said Madrid was a terrible place and the people not at all friendly! So I put him on to J an J books and a couple of Intercambio websites. Then I went off line for a few days.
When I came back on he couldn't wait to tel me about the two Spanish girls he was now dating on alternate nights who had contacted him for Intercambios. Ah! The magic of the language exchange.
