Default Meeting the natives in Los Picos de Europa, Asturias

I met this fella about 10 metres away, he looked at me and I looked at him for about 10 seconds. I decided my trekking pole was better defence than a camera, so didn't dive into the camera bag.

I got this shot as he ran away. I am a whimp.

Near La Vega de Orandi. There's a route which starts from the road 5 minutes past the Basilica of Covadonga (up towards Los Lagos).
We saw another boar nearby and a golden eagle earlier in the day.

Same here in Chester, we had nearly 0.5 inch this morning and positively loads now. Maybe 2 inches.

The second most I have seen in 16 years living here. My folks in Huddersfield are snowed in. Serves 'em right for living in Lepton.

Leptons not so far away from me as you know - it has now snowed for 12 hours here without stopping - fun, fun, fun, especally for our 7 month old addition Megan...

I'll be working at home again. Sometime the advantages of being able to work at home become disadvantages.

No, this is Mieses, next to Potes, going up to Santo Toribio. When we left yesterday morning it started snowing in Espinama, but stopped once we arrived to Cosgaya. The sky was clear and blue as you can see in the second photo, and we went to the mirador of Santo Toribio, but the cloud was just obscuring the mountain. On the way down, I stopped in Mieses, and the house you see I think is part of the Camping La Viorna.
The third photo is a view from Unquera of the village at the other side of the bridge which is already in Asturias and I cannot remember the name. That is from Monday 4th.

On Tuesday 5th we had a very clear day in Espinama, the sun shining and all that, but very cold at 3C.

Yes, this was on the 86th floor observation deck. The 102nd floor observation deck was closed that day.

I enjoyed those pics. But I would not go up there even if you offered me Green eggs with ham.

I could not go up there in a Dirndl or you with Lederhosen.
