Default Request for Ben

Would it be possible to have a selection of accented (or tilded) letters available on the Reply page set up? Users could then copy/paste the foreign characters in. I realise this may not be possible with the forum software.
I know there are different ways already to produce characters - however, if you use a laptop one option is not available (the ALT plus number code method)
Thanks

Hi,

Maybe your laptop is very different to the one's I use, but every one that I've seen still has the ALT+code method. It's just that you have to use the embedded numbers (usually within the UIOJKLM keys) rather than the strip of numbers along the top.

I'll look into it but I think it might be impossible with the software we use without masses of code changes. BTW, I grew up in Oxford...

Default Thx

Thanks for the feedback guys, and I'll try that software out soon. Yes, Ben I'm currently in Oxford (Cowley to be exact) but I'm originally from the Nottingham/Leicester area. Of course, it's Madrid where my heart resides...

You should be able to place the characters

...in the HTML pages of newreply.php and newthread.php with no code PHP changes, perhaps after
"Message:", or after the Smiles box. A user could then highlight one of these and copy and paste.
Whether many people would want it or use it is another question.
