Default Photo of the Week - Edith's Thread

The idea is to post your best photo or two from the last week or so. It's a good reason to keep trying to take great photos! Post, and comment on others' work (be kind )

Update: this thread is dedicated to Edith, a wonderful long-time forum member who sadly passed away in March 2009, and who's beautiful photos of nature fill and inspired this thread. Enjoy her wonderful work.

Here's my first, taken this weekend near my parent's home in Oxfordshire, on the banks of the Thames, while on a quick UK visit.

I must have 20 versions of this photo taken over the years, but I love these trees!

This is obviously not from the last couple weeks, but it's probably one of the best photos I've taken. It's from a wind farm close to my house

You're suffering very slightly from converging verticals, pretty much unavoidable when shooting upwards, but if you correct it, it will take that leaning pole on the right, out of shot.

I haven't taken many photos in the past month. One of the few is this one of "dos playas".

I love that pine tree! It reminds me of a classical Japanese watercolor.

Default La Selva de Irati

I didn't realise that Navarra was so beautiful and varied until I went there just over a week ago. This is in la Selva de Irati.
