Default iPhone wouldnt connect to wireless network

We tried every trick we knew to get Gills iPhone to connect to the network, rang O2 and they were no help.

Took it to the Apple Store and they simply replaced it with a brand new one

Now thats what I call customer service!!!

Isn't that pretty much their legal obligation after selling you a faulty product?

Absolutely!

- have you tried that with any other mobile phone handset?

Not always as smooth, I assure you. Also they could have done what many others do and offered a rubbishy replacement whilst they sent it off to be investigated and repaired...

Hey dude ,

Don't worry try this one. Check your Wi-fi is ON or not. After checking this follow the below steps.

Connect to a WiFi wireless network router and browse the web on your iPhone 3G. Here is how:

1. Ensure Wireless is enabled under Settings > Wi-Fi and turn it on.
2. Join a network by selecting Settings > Wi-Fi.
3. Select the network you would like to connect to.
4. You may need to enter a password, then select Join.

Now enjoy the Internet. You will know if the device is connected to a wireless network if the Wi-Fi logo appears on the top bar of the screen.

Good luck..!!

Take it to Apple - I had the same problem and it was a fault - they replaced the handset
