I lost my phone a couple of weeks ago and I was due an upgrade anyway. So you all know what I did. I got one. Although I have to say,I don't know what all the fuss was about in getting one. I just went to my local(ish) store in glasgow and took one home today without any hassle. In fact this message is being typed on it right now. I would give it good reviews so far. The best thing about it is that it seems to know what you're typing before you do. But if you use Linux beware, I've had many problems and ended up just reinstalling Windows (as well as ubuntu of course - you think I'm going to stop using that?

I accompanied my parents today, the dutiful son that I am, to the Apple Store and they are now the proud owners of an iPhone. It took me minutes to teach them how to make calls, listen to iTunes, take pictures, use GPS etc.. They are excited and so am I. This user interface rocks!

I want one! Even if it does never rain here! I imagine your average umbrella-wielding Madrileño could take out whole buildings with one of those things.

There does seem to be some inherent directionality in the design.

they are on back order at my local AT&T store. I didn't go to the Apple store. So I have to wait 6-8 days.

You should know, you told us earlier on.
