Default Where was I??

Needing the info, I have tried to find my first ever post to this forum, but when go to my postings the earliest I can find is early 2006 and I know I was posting in 2005. If memory serves I was #31. How do I find my early posting by date. (They are probably in the archives, but that's by subject!)

The forum is showing you joined in Mar 06, so surely you can have no postings earlier than that ?

I vaguely recall Ben saying last year that some old messages were lost during a software update for the forum. Maybe that is why you can't find old messages. Just a thought.

Yes I recall that too... I think maybe the stuff was misplaced when migrating servers and Interner Service Proveder

I seem to recall a lot was different in those days. Back then it was "Note From Spain". Greytop was Browntop. Gary wore long hair and Love Beads.

There was an entirely different web site application used which showed location of members on a map. It was pretty unstructured, like something I would do today. Lots of changes since.

Richard. You were posting on the previous forum.

Ben was using other software before switching to vBulletin. Everything there was lost when he transferred all 40ish members over manually.

Richard, you are a year out! The forum started in March 2006, and I changed the software after the first two weeks as Deecree says.
From the blog:

I know the forum has been running for just a week, but we have already upgraded it to even better software. It’s now much easier to do things like upload photos and add links, plus the user options are vastly improved. You’ll need to update your bookmarks too as the URL has changed slightly (the addition of an ’s’), to:

http://www.notesfromspain.com/forums

Users who had already registered before today will have to re-configure their password and their profiles (sorry!), we have emailed all of you with instructions. Any problems just contact us through the usual channels. Thanks and see you in there!

Really, wow. The mystery is how did I discover NfS's existence and sign up ? I can only imagine this was at a time when I was exploring blogs in general and simply searched on "Spain". Or something.

Amazing. I thought I was too young for senior moments!!!!
So, it was 11 months after your first blog that the forum began. I thought it was earlier than that. Ok.Mystery solved.
